Hello, I’m Magdalena,
As a life coach specializing in what may be holding some back from achieving their goals or dreams, has negative thoughts filling up their precious brain space and/or procrastinates, doesn’t add to ones overall sense of well-being – I’m here to offer a unique partnership, working together in understanding ones mindset – meaning, what might you be allowing or not into that precious real estate called your mind. I work with those struggling to achieve whatever it is they would like more or less of in their life by co-creating small action steps, together, so ones dreams may become a reality, no matter how big or small. One might say, my dynamic life has lead me to this place having encountered and will continue to experience challenges, heartbreaks, and deaths, as well as all the positive celebratory events one enjoys throughout life, but here’s the caveat, with more ease and less suffering. When choosing to work with a life coach, such as myself, it’s often easier to make sense of where and why specific road blocks pop up, provides an opportunity to examine various beliefs, like limiting beliefs, and why one might procrastinate, but also a way forward by including a blueprint, with small action steps. Coaching helps clients in building and strengthening mental muscles around positivity while also embracing boundaries.
It takes personal dedication because this is very important work. As a coach, I’m here to offer guidance and to hold one accountable – drawing from my own personal and professional experiences in healthcare, education, sciences, mentoring, teachers, spiritual teachers, pleased clients from every socio-economic background has afforded me an honor and opportunity to recognize and appreciate most challenges experienced by anyone because we all share commonalities, and we are not alone. The process will include questioning, remaining curious and open so as to offer a blueprint for desired goals using tools, knowledge, and guidance from my vast background which includes degrees and certifications (if that’s important to you-hint it wasn’t my degrees that changed my life) to uncover the importance of how ones mindset will dictate the life one lives. That’s pretty powerful stuff! Our mindset and attitude towards life will reflect the kind of life we live. So at the core of each offering we work with and around each person’s current mindset, what it looks and feels like, what’s working and/or may not be and the possible why’s. Don’t worry if it doesn’t make much sense and if it does, we’ll enjoy delving even deeper, together.
In choosing a coach to work with I believe it’s important to know and understand a bit of their story/background and how it may resonate and/or inspire one in their own self-discovery journey. I would like to share a bit of my story, in part, it began during a challenging time when my mother died suddenly and unexpectedly. She was as young in parent years as I was a child, she 39 yrs., while I was 19 yrs., at the time of her death from a brain aneurysm. The loss of our mother left a family of 5 in utter heartbreak and devastation. That incredible loss altered my life and became the precipice for much of my anger, sadness, frustrations, confusion, and unexpected growth. It also placed me in the unexpected role of supporting and parenting a younger sibling who would later marry her high school sweetheart and welcome 3 beautiful souls into the world, and I would go on to enjoy 35+ years in a career of education, healthcare, and oncology research with many challenges and personal triumphs celebrated along the way. Appearing successful, living in Palm Springs, California, soaking up nearly 360 days of incredible sunshine with breathtaking mountains and weather, enjoying extensive international and domestic travel professionally and personally was not only a dream of mine attained, others saw it as one to embrace as well. And yet something was still missing. Having achieved all that I set out to accomplish and still, I wasn’t as fulfilled as I thought I might be upon achieving some pretty incredible milestones, which I believed to have been carefully curating, and did to some extent. Does any of this sound familiar?
Upon reflection, I was still asking, Is this all there is, I’m missing something? I’m not feeling fulfilled, is this what a life of purpose feels like? Moreover, I had experienced failed relationships often due to the demands of my career, even the end of a marriage, work related stress with complicated family dynamics, all that had adversely affected my physical and mental health, depleted my stores of energy. I had spent years prioritizing the needs of others, people pleasing, never saying No and believing I could really do it all as Superwoman, but ultimately, it took a toll on me. The alternatives were to continue on that path or find a way to change, and while my journey had also been devoted to self-discovery and personal empowerment, the How to change aspect often alluded me – how and where would I even begin to make changes in my life? It came through some pretty incredible opportunities working with all kinds of teachers and mentors along the way to include spiritual teachers combined with my own openness and desire for change, whereby, meaningful shifts began to happen in my life. My personal transformation was underway.
I learned how to put myself first, giving voice to my needs with confidence and clarity and best of all, without guilt! I became certified as a Levin Life Coach through Levin Life Coach Academy. Since my life had been centered around helping and serving others – this seemed a natural transition because the work offered something unique and profound. It provided me with the language, tools, and the Mindset, allowing for conscious change. In the past, when asking others how they managed to cope with their emotions, and their daunting challenges, or how they went about embracing change? The typical short version response was, it just happens.
Learning that what I was asking “doesn’t just happen” as offered, or maybe to some extent it did, like the old adage, life will happen to you but not for you. Most of the time, people are making unconscious decisions and reacting but until conscious choices are made will a life happen for you. When I began to lead a life more consciously which happens through awareness it began to offer up less suffering and strengthened my confidence to create meaningful changes. Conscious awareness also meant feeling and listening to my body and heart, instead of pushing away hard to feel emotions and situations. To the contrary, I was learning to acknowledge, give voice and attention to all emotions, even the ones seemingly most difficult truly deserved my special attention – because as I honored them I was able to understand the unique gifts they too brought to my life. These are the gifts, the gems we will uncover in our work together, we’ll work to understand why various difficulties show up, even around saying no to others and how that IS saying yes to you! Learning and being able to say No without guilt or a need to explain while saying Yes in areas of your life often denied. These practices all become part of the important work to affect change in ones life.
Being able to confidently prioritize ones own needs without guilt or shame with boundaries becomes essential in the process since many clients expressed they often were the last person on their list when caring for and after others in their life. Learning without first caring for themselves they couldn’t truly care for and after others without becoming exhausted and/or resentful. We will work together, listening with compassion, empathy, and without the need to fix or solve since there is no right or wrong answer – only a way forward enjoying a richer more meaningful life based upon the changes you offer yourself via mindset and dedication. I would love to work with you! Please contact me through the link as I would be honored in helping you discover the power within yourself!
